Dana is the fifth generation of her family to call Victoria home, with her family arriving in 1858, the same year Victoria’s Chinatown was established.  She is the Co-Chief Executive Officer at Power To Be, a Victoria-based social enterprise focused on ensuring everyone can overcome their physical, mental or social barriers through experiences in nature.  Prior to joining Power To Be, Dana had a distinguished career in broadcast journalism.  She has been recognized for merit with the Jack Webster Foundation Award and the Social Media Award for Excellence in Engagement.  Dana graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Canadian Social History and from BCIT with a Broadcast Communications Diploma.  If you’d like to say “hi”, she is also a frequent volunteer at the Chinese Canadian Museum Fan Tan Alley Exhibit.
