2025 AWAKENING CHINATOWN SCAVENGER HUNT
CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
Contest starts at 12:00 m (PT) on Sunday May 25th, 2025 and continues until 5:30 pm (PT) on Sunday May 25th, 2025.
No purchase necessary.
Only one (1) entry form per person.
A random draw by a representative of the Victoria Chinatown Museum, producers of Awakening Chinatown, from all entries received as of the Contest Closing Time will be made on Monday May 26 2025 at the Victoria Chinatown Museum at 10 Fan Tan Alley, Victoria BC.
If a selected entrant cannot be reached by 12:00 noon (PT) on Friday, May 30, 2025, or declines the prize, another entrant will be selected.
Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged. No cash value. Victoria Chinatown Museum Society reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.
By entering this contest, entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence and/or any photograph of or that may be taken in publicity carried out by Victoria Chinatown Museum Society and its advertising agencies, without further notice or compensation.
This contest is open to residents of Vancouver Island, B.C. who are over 18 and excludes employees and volunteers of the Victoria Chinatown Museum Society. Prize must be picked up at the Victoria Chinatown Museum at 10 Fan Tan Alley, which is open between 11 am and 5 pm, Thursday to Sunday.
The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
No communications will be entered into except with selected entrants.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Victoria Chinatown Museum Society. Victoria Chinatown Museum Society takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.
Victoria Chinatown Museum Society is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this contest. All entries become the property of the Victoria Chinatown Museum Society and will not be returned.
All personal information, such as name and contact information, required to enter a Victoria Chinatown Museum Society Publishing (Victoria Chinatown Museum Society) contest is collected by Victoria Chinatown Museum Society solely for the purposes of administering the Victoria Chinatown Museum Society contest and shall not be used for any other purpose without your express consent. By providing this information, you consent to it being used for the stated purposes.
By entering this Contest, entrants release and hold harmless Victoria Chinatown Museum Society, its advertising and promotional agencies and the contest judge(s), their affiliates and respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively the “Releases”) from any liability in connection with this Contest or, if declared a winner, the prize. Before being declared a winner, entrants may be required to sign and return, within a stipulated period of time, a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and a full Liability and Publicity Release.
By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format without further compensation or notice. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Victoria Chinatown Museum Society.
Contestants must comply with these rules and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in the contest. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counteroffer, except as set out herein.
